Out of all Bluetech's fabulous output, Borderlands is the album I return to most regularly, year in, year out. Maybe it was the December release back in 2007 when I listened to it obsessively for weeks, but for me, it really is the soundtrack to winter. Borderlands draws me inward, warms me, wraps a duvet of introspection and reflection around me. This album is one of my favorite electronic albums ever. Each song is great on it's own but when you listen to the album as a whole, it takes you on a journey. The only vocals in the album are in the first track, which is kind of a mantra that sets the tone for the whole album. The beautiful, meandering, contemplative, and sometimes playful melodies are perfect for any occasion. Any time I am stuck on what to listen to, I just listen to this. isthisnotadream
